When Gracie was little, the patch over her right eye was very dark and reminded us of a pirate’s patch. Thus, she was named after a famous female Irish pirate – Grace O’Maile. Remarkably, although Gracie wasn’t all that fond of attending cat shows, she was such an outstanding example of her breed, that she still managed to achieve a Regional Win as a kitten! She is one of the sweetest cats we have ever owned, an excellent mother and gets along easily with our dog and all of our other cats. Gracie still plays like a kitten and absolutely LOVES her Rosie the Rat toy. We probably have a dozen of these toys that the cats have hidden around the house. Though we had no idea where they went, our intrepid Gracie found every one of them, presented them to her kittens and taught them how to play with this toy.
